Please read the Dormitory Rules carefully as they contain the defining rules of dorm life.

You can read other practical information and requests below.

Students are accommodated in double rooms.

Upon arrival, students must occupy the assigned room. If you move in during the first two weeks of the semester, you can change rooms/roommates. You can also do this at the beginning of the next semester. There is no exchange of rooms during other periods of the academic year.

Students may receive guests as specified in the House Rules (unless pandemic restrictions prohibit doing so). Due to the pandemic rules it is only possible now between 8 AM and 10PM.

You can book the room after filling out the equipment card and receiving it according to the room inventory.

When you move out, you must hand this over to the cleaning crew according to inventory.

Everyone has the right to be able to study and relax – and you have to make this possible for the others!

The residents clean and keep the room themselves. Keeping the refrigerator in the rooms clean is also the responsibility of the residents of the room. We check the cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms every month. The cleaning crew cleans the sink in the foyer of the room. The date of the cleaning (Mosdók takarítása) will be announced on the "Dorm News" (Kollégiumi Hírek) bulletin board on the room’s floor. (This is not getting cleaned, because there is shortage of cleaning crew)

The room accessories (table, chairs, wardrobes) must be placed in such a way that the escape route is not narrowed or blocked. Beds cannot be moved.

We also collect waste selectively in the building. Only put recyclables in the appropriate bin: paper, only if it is not dirty (e.g., not greasy), metal, plastic (e.g., cans, sour cream cups) washed, plastic bottles compressed. Please put the used light bulbs in the green container next to the coffee automat on the ground floor, the batteries into the box on the wall next to the gate.

Please pour the used cooking oil in the oil container (under the kitchen sink) after wating for it to cool down! The shared kitchen must be left so that others can use it. Everyone is obligated to clean the stove, the tables and the sink after themselves (do not leave any leftover food in these areas). Do not leave unwashed dishes in the kitchen!

If you use the baking tray on the stove, make it clean before leaving it there!

The bathrooms (showers, toilets) are kept in order by the cleaning crew. Please keep clean, use the toilet brush as intended.

You can ask for an iron, hair dryer and vacuum cleaner at the gate.

Do not use bedding without duvet cover. Before laying on the bed spread a sheet on the bed.

Please write your name, year of your class, your class (E.G. Thomas Kiss I. ápoló = APO- Hungarian abbreviation for nurse)

Follow the pandemic rules. Be aware that hand sanitization is mandatory upon entering the building. In addition refrain from using the levator. It is old, it breaks down quite ofter and it can only be used by reasonable situations due to the pandemic rules.

Please say Hi to the Students and the Workers.

You can find mail boxes next to the entrance. Your mail is dropped off by the doorman here, and this is also where you will be notified about bigger packages. The boxes are in alphabetical order. It is recommended to check it everyday, and to also check the boxes with the same initials as your first and last names, as the doormen can sometimes make mistakes and accidentally misplace your letters.

Each floor has a floor manager, who is chosen by the residents of the floor. They are a member of the Dormitory Committee (the self-governing body of the dormitory students). Their task is to help the residents of the floor, organize community programs and enforce the rules. Contact them with your requests and questions.

Please check your e-mails daily, react to my letters, complete my orders and appear for my callings!
